Portland’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Camp for Girls is first and foremost a mentorship organization and we strive to present role models for all our campers can aspire to be and do!
Therefore, we welcome individuals who self-identify as female, trans (regardless of identity), or gender non-conforming to apply for Direct Mentorship positions at Summer Camp. We also welcome and appreciate allies of any gender identity to volunteer in Indirect Mentorship Roles.

Get involved with Rock ’n’ Roll Camp for Girls year round. Volunteer opportunities exist for people of all gender identities, with or without musical experience. Be a mentor, build girls’ self-esteem, and have a lot of fun!
We also accept Year-Round Volunteer applications on a rolling basis!
Didn’t get enough Rock Camp volunteering in the summer? We are always looking for volunteers who are available year-round. Tasks can vary from administrative support to outreach and events, working at one of our year round programs, or promoting our online presence. Interning isn’t just for summer anymore — you can stay involved with Camp all year long! Girls ages 15-17 who have attended at least two sessions of After School Programming or Summer Camp are eligible to apply. Participate in our year-round programming, exploring more aspects of music creation and performance. Help run after-school programming and prepare for Summer Camp!
Summer Camp Volunteers – applications available March 2015
We are looking for responsible volunteers ages 18+ with or without musical experience! From band coaching to leading a workshop to moving and setting up gear, just a couple hours or all summer, there are plenty of opportunities to help out that match your time and talents!

Summer Camp Interns – applications available March 2015!
Learn the skills of teaching music, mentorship, and more while interning at Summer Camp! Work with our volunteers as a band manager, sound engineer, workshop leader, or instrument instructor and be part of our extraordinary gear crew! Internship opportunities are available for former campers ages 15-17 who have attended at least two sessions of Summer Camp or Girls Rock Institute.
IMPORTANT DATES FOR SUMMER VOLUNTEERS 2014: If you’re applying for more than one session please follow the dates for your earliest session. You only need to fill out one application.
Session 1: Intern Orientation July 5, Volunteer Orientation July 6, Camp week July 7-11, Showcase Sat July 12. Workshop proposals due June 23, return paperwork packet due July 1.
Session 2: Intern Orientation July 19, Volunteer Orientation July 20, Camp week July 21-26, Showcase SUNDAY July 27. Workshop proposals due July 7, return paperwork packet due July 15.
Session 3: Intern Orientation August 2, Volunteer Orientation August 3, Camp week August 4-8, Showcase Sat August 9. Workshop proposals due July 21, return paperwork packet due July 30.
