Girls Rock Camp Alliance
6 New Camps Represented from North America and EuropeThe number of participanting Girls Rock Camp organizations has almost doubled since the first GRCA conference hosted by Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls. And when we got home, 2 more organizers were interested in joining up. We have a total of 13 organizations, with more soon to come. Organizers of all levels of experience and back ground in planning and running Girls Rock Camps converged in New York in late March 2008. The yearly retreat is by and for the many incredible staff and volunteers charged with starting and/or operating a non profit Girls Rock Camp. This year's conference agenda included GRCA program development, plus added skill sharing workshops such as Band Coaching 101, how to start a non profit rock camp, inclusive training, and more. This is a very exciting time as many new and old camps are looking forward to working together to make the Girls Rock Camp community stronger and fulfilling each of our programs' missions. Join GRCA, or find out more! Email grca@girlsrockcamp.org to inquire about becoming a member. Check out the GRCA archive of our past two conferences HERE.
