Thank you all so much for your PATIENCE as we move to become more paperless this year! We’re received many questions and have been rushing to answer them all, so here’s a list of our most Frequently Asked Questions for Summer Camp this year…
1.Q. Where do I find the EYP cover letter and/or Financial Aid App?
1.A: When you apply online, you’ll get an automated confirmation email back from Active (the online application system that we use). This email has a lot of general camp info on it and it also has a sidebar that says “IMPORTANT LINKS,” under with you will “Important Documents”. Right there is a link to both the EYP and Financial aid app that will open in a pdf or in Word. 2014 SC Camper Follow Up Forms (online apps only).docx… .Yes, it still says 2014….
2.Q. Some of the forms still say 2014, where can I find the 2015 forms?
2.A: Currently, a lot of the download links still say 2014 on them, which is solely because we can’t figure out how to change it! We’ve called and emailed active and they haven’t gotten back to us yet, but we are working to solve this! The actual documents are identical to what we’re using this year, but we can understand why it might be confusing because we’re living in 2015, however, these forms are the same and still valid. We are working to update this.
3.Q. Where/how do I pay the Application Fee?
3.A: easiest way to pay your $10 app fee is by credit/debit through your online account–however, that option is only available once you’ve submitted your EYP and we’ve moved your camper into a specific session. So, if you’re okay waiting a little bit to pay your App fee, then you can wait and pay by card, otherwise you can send a check to our PO Box (Rock ‘N’ Roll Camp For Girls P.O. Box 11324, Portland, OR 97211). We’re working to change this feature up front, but we are working to be processing applications in order, as we get them, so don’t panic if you want to pay online and can’t do it right away.
4.Q. Does my camper have to submit a musical sample for their EYP?
4.A: Nope! Express Yourself Pieces are about expressing yourself however you would like to, there is no one way it “has to be.” If your camper made a great drawing, scan it or even take a photo with a smart phone and email it to us! If your camper made a sculpture, take a picture and email it to us! If your camper wrote a poem, send it on over!
5.Q. I’ve applied for camp, but you haven’t charged me tuition, what’s up?
5.A: Once you’ve applied to our “umbrella session,” summer camp 2015, and you’ve sent in your camper’s EYP, we assign you specific session based on your preferences and what’s still open, THEN you’ll be charged tuition. We do it this way so that you can apply without worrying about financial aid being a factor in acceptance.
