16 Records

16 Records was established in 2001 by long time Rock 'n' Roll Camp for Girls volunteer bob. e. sox to promote and distribute music, mostly created by queer and/or women musicians in the Pacific Northwest. The Portland Rock 'n' Roll Camp for Girls is proud to continue in the tradition of Candyass, Chainsaw, Mr. Lady, Heartcore, and other labels and distros who have made promoting queer and women's music part of their core value.

As bob moves on with her projects North Portland Bike Works and band Swan Island, Rock Camp interns and volunteers are taking on the distro for this awesome label. Students and interns will not only have a resource for recording and distributing their music, but will learn the DIY business of producing, marketing, selling, and distributing CDs and records.
